Juliet's House

Juliet's House

Via Cappello,
Verona, Italy

One of Verona's top tourist attractions is Casa di Giulietta, the house many believe Shakespeare's most famous heroine, Juliet, lived in. The house, which has a balcony (unfortunately modern), dates back to the 14th century, has a museum inside and a statue of Juliet in the garden.

Also in Verona is a medieval house said to have been Romeo's, but it is not open to the public. However, a restaurant occupies part of the building which Shakespeare enthusiasts can dine in.
